About Me
Finding beauty in the transition
My life has always been defined by movement. Born in Germany into a military family, my childhood was a map of changing postcodes—from Shrivenham and Wilton to the rugged landscapes of Salisbury Plain. After years spent in the vibrant energy of Manchester and the fast-paced world of London, I have finally found my "now" in the rolling hills of the Chilterns, near High Wycombe.
For 14 years, I built a career in marketing, but my heart never truly left the art room of my school days. After a second redundancy and the unique challenges of being a military spouse, I decided to take my future into my own hands. I returned to my first love, turning a lifetime of "disruption" into a practice of intentional calm.
My Creative Vision
I lean toward a romantic view of the world. Because my life has often been a series of new beginnings, I use art as a way to create a sense of permanent peace.
While my earlier work is rooted in abstract acrylics—exploring emotion and movement through texture and color—I am currently enamored with oil paints. I love the medium for its ability to produce rich, earthy tones and the way it allows for "feathering"—creating those soft, ethereal edges that make a landscape feel like a dream.
Whether through a soulful abstract or a hazy horizon, my goal is to create "visual deep breaths"—pieces that offer the viewer a sense of hope and optimism, no matter how chaotic the outside world feels.
The Studio Life
You’ll often find me in my studio, likely with a bit of oil paint on my hands and my two constant companions, Earl Grey and Baby Blue (my cats), nearby.
I work in curated collections, allowing me the freedom to explore different styles and themes as I move through life. This means my shop is always evolving, reflecting the new inspirations I find in the world around me.
